Radio-TV Broadcasting II - Web Site Design

Teacher: Mr. Yacco
Location: Room B-5

Goal

This one year course will help students develop essential skills required by college courses and entry-level jobs in the Web site and interactive media industries. It will help them enhance their ability to communicate their opinions and ideas through the development of Web site content, the design of graphics and navigation elements, and the integration of streaming and on-demand audio and video media. Students will also explore applying the same techniques to other interactive media such as DVD production.

The skills students develop through this course will applied to the creation and maintenance of the Media Academy's official Web site in addition to other Web sites and interactive projects.
Regardless of what career the student chooses to pursue, the skills this course will help them acquire will serve them on their job (by being able to effectively communicate proposals and accomplishments) and in their personal life (by enhancing the recording of family history.) They will also be able to help their community by effectively communicating the needs and achievements of groups and organizations.

Upon successful completion of the course students will have a CD or DVD portfolio of interactive projects they have collaboratively helped to create.
