Felicidad Guirao

Ms. Guirao was born in Barcelona, Spain.  She has been teaching in the United States for five years.   Teaching EPH and Spanish as a Foreign Language, she is considered by her colleagues and students to be an excellent teacher and friend.  Since she was little, she had always wanted to become a teacher and her talent is obvious to all who come into contact with her.   
Her philosophy in teaching is for students to “go deeper” in their understanding of what they read and how they speak Spanish. She takes this same philosophy with her as she learns English as her second language.
 
She preferred to teach in Media Academy because it’s a good school, with a professional staff, that is responsible and do their own work. The things that she likes about her students are: the way they want to be better, try to do their best. The thing she doesn't like is that when they don’t reach their goals they get frustrated, and this made them to give up.
“I would like my students not give up when they fail, and get energy on keep going,” said Ms.Guirao.

On her free time she likes hiking, the cinema, reading, listen to music, and gardening. She doesn't like to mix her work with her personal life. In school time she likes to give the best to her students, and colleagues.
